My Shea butter body (and hair) mix (like most of my creations) is my personal mix. This combination of shea butter & oils provides maximum moisture and healing for the skin.

Shea butter is the fat that is extracted from the nut of the Shea Tree, in West Africa. Unlike most other tree nut products, it is very low in the protein that can trigger allergies. In fact there is no medical literature documenting any allergy to raw shea butter. This makes it ideal, but more importantly, safe for ALL skin types. Shea butter is one of the best for moisturizing due to its fatty acid content. Unbeknowing to many, shea butter has significant levels of vitamin A and vitamin E which helps to promote antioxidant activity. These antioxidants play an important with anti-aging of our skin and cells. These antioxidants play a key role in protecting your skin cells from free radicals that can lead to premature aging and dull looking skin. Shea butter is also an antibacterial, antifungal to fight off bacteria and fight skin infections caused by fungi.

It also reduces the appearance of stretch marks and scarring. Shea butter stops keloid fibroblasts – scar tissues from reproducing, while encouraging healthy cell growth to take their place. This will help your skin heal, minimizing the appearance of stretch marks & scarring. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles – by boosting collagen production and promoting new cell generation. It also offers added sun protection as it can be used by itself as an effective sunscreen. It contains an estimates SPF of 3 to 4. It also helps prevent hair breakage by making hair stronger, as well as treats dandruff. It helps to sooth sunburn and other skin burns, as well as highly effective for those suffering from eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis. It is great for wound healing by reducing underlining inflammation and tissue remodelling. It’s also great for insect bites, muscle soreness and can also be used to relieve arthritis pain (which is underlining inflammation of the joints). Shea butter also helps to reduce inflammation while also protecting joints from further damage. As mentioned above, it contains vitamins A, E, F as well as antioxidants to promote circulation & healthy skin growth.
